GILBERT, Ariz. -
With so many families in Newtown grieving this holiday season, one Gilbert woman went more than the extra mile to show her support.
Faith Leonard wanted to do something extra special for the families grieving over the Sandy Hook shootings. She drove to Connecticut to personally hand out Christmas gifts.
Attending a town hall meeting in Newtown, she gave out hugs, Christmas cookies and children's toys to anyone needing it.
Leonard said if she could be in Newtown helping out, it might allow one more person to spend time with their family to grieve the way they needed to.
