Fatal collision involving pedestrian closes SB 101 - Los Angeles Local News, Weather, and Traffic

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle Wednesday night, closing southbound Loop 101 at Union Hills.

Investigators are still trying to figure out the details, but it is believed the man may have been trying to commit suicide and wanted to be hit.

The victim's name hasn't been released. 

The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. on southbound 101 at Union Hills. The southbound lanes were shut down for hours.
