NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

There were no reported injuries when a taxiing Southwest Airlines plane went off of the tarmac at a Long Island airport.

Islip Town Rescue reports that the front nose wheel got stuck in the mud after it went off of the runway at MacArthur Airport.  It happened shortly before 7 a.m. on Thursday.

The FAA says that Southwest Flight 4695, a Boeing 737, overran the taxiway after the pilot mis-negotiated a turn.

The flight was scheduled to depart at 6:15 a.m. and was supposed to arrive in Tampa at 9:15 a.m.  The flight was already delayed when it had the mishap.

There were 136 people on the plane.  They were taken off of the plane and were being put onto a new plane to head to Tampa.

Southwest issued a statement saying:  "We are currently gathering more details regarding Flight 4695 in ISP, and will have more information shortly.  Thank you for your patience."
