Valley public information officers and fire marshals hosted a fireworks demonstration to show what's legal and what will get you into trouble.
Certain cities and towns allow different types of fireworks, or don't allow them at all. Plus, some cities allow fireworks to only be lit on certain days of the year. Check your city's policy before you go shopping for fireworks.
For the most part, sparklers and fireworks that don't leave the ground are okay to use.
Skyrockets, bottle rockets and roman candles are prohibited for public use in Arizona.
