FOX 11's ‘Tech Ninja' Tshaka Armstrong was here with the newest tech projects coming this year. It was all about imagination and innovation as he showed off some technology which has the potential to change the way we interact with our world, each other and our own ideas!
The innovations Tshaka talked about were:
Google Glass is a wearable computer which will allow you to interact with the world around you through a "heads up display" that will not only present relevant information about your surroundings in much the way that Google Maps and Google Now already do, but allow you to communicate with friends and family via Google Hangouts and more. They'll be available to developers this year!
Leap Motion, which is available for pre-order right now at only $70USD is an amazing technology which will enable you to interact with your computer using only gestures in 3D space.
The Enable Talk Project which was a working proof of concept that won the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2012 and will help the deaf and deaf-mute community communicate with those who don't speak sign language. While no release date is available yet, their win at the Imagine Cup puts them in a prime position to get the backing they need to bring this amazing product to market.
TheMakerBot Replicator 2 is a 3D printer which will help designers, tinkerers and anyone else with an idea in their heads, bring those ideas to life as a physical print of their digital designs. You don't need to wait for this $2k device to come down in price! DIY co-ops and creativity centers like LA's new LA Makerspace will have access to one for instruction and more and are family friendly.
