The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says 17 bus lines will be rolling again or expanded starting Sunday as the agency tries to bring back millions of dollars worth of service cut to prevent a deficit back in 2010.
Among the routes coming back:
The B57 in Brooklyn between Carroll Gardens and Red Hook;
The B39 between Williamsburg, Brooklyn and the Lower East Side;
The M9 in Manhattan will extend to East 29th Street from its terminus at 23rd Street and down from City Hall to Battery Park City;
The BX34 daytime service will return during weekends;
The Q27 overnight service from Horace Harding Expressway to Cambria heights, Queens.
The MTA says stronger revenues than anticipated made the service restorations possible.
