Rats love the Upper West Side

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The Upper West Side is the hot zone for complaints about rats, according to a New York Post report citing city data.

Residents in two ZIP codes made more than a thousand rodent complaints with the 311 in the last two years, the report said.

Bushwick, Brooklyn, came in second.

The UWS had almost twice as many rats as the Lower East Side or East Village.

Garbage, construction, and very old infrastructure are to blame, according to the president of the West 76th Block Association.
