Los Angeles, CA -
The low pressure system that produced the showers yesterday is moving east into Arizona this morning. High pressure is building inland over northern California and Nevada behind this system. The strong difference in pressure between these two pressure centers will produce gusty north to northeast winds today.
A high wind warning is in effect for the San Gabriel and San Fernando Valleys as well as the Los Angeles County Mountains (excluding the Santa Monica Mountains). Damaging wind gusts of 60mph are possible in these areas. Wind advisories are in effect just about everywhere else.
