APD probes Virginia Highland burglaries

Posted: Updated:

Police say thieves smashed their way into two stores in Atlanta's Virginia Highland neighborhood early Tuesday morning.

According to Atlanta police, it happened on Saint Charles Avenue at around 5:20 a.m. They say thieves busted through the window at a store called Threadz. They say the thieves then reached under burglar bars and snatched several items.

Police say the owner of Threadz told them five watches and four pair of sunglasses were missing from her business.
Police say thieves also damaged a front door at a store called Bridge Boutique. They say the owner told them that jewelry was taken from the store.

No arrests have been made.
