
(CNS) - Two men were in custody today on suspicion of committing at five armed robberies of businesses in Buena Park, Fullerton and Cerritos, authorities said.
The crime spree, which began about 10 p.m. Tuesday, included three robberies in Buena Park, one in Fullerton and one in Cerritos, said Buena Park police Cpl. Andy Luong.
Luong said detectives circulated a description of a vehicle involved in one of the Buena Park crimes, and police in Fullerton stopped the vehicle, detained two men and recovered stolen property, along with weapons.
The names of the suspects were not immediately released. The targeted businesses included two gas stations and a Pizza Hut in Buena Park. A Chevron gas station in the 13300 block of South Street in Cerritos was robbed about 11 p.m. Tuesday, said sheriff's Lt. Allen Castellano of the Cerritos Station.
