ATLANTA (AP) - Fulton County officials say Roderick Edmond, chairman of the Fulton County Registration and Elections board has resigned.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/WK42aq ) Edmond's departure comes two weeks after the resignation of Republican William Riley, who cited his busy schedule as the reason.
The newspaper reports Edmond will step down when his replacement is named.
Polling problems during July primary elections and the November presidential race made the county elections board a target of intense scrutiny. More than 100 complaints from voters are scheduled to be addressed during a Jan. 31 State Election Board hearing.
