WEST COVINA, California -- Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man for investigation of murder a day after his wife's body was found in a car at a Southern California casino.
Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. John Corina says Thomas Infante was taken into custody Monday after investigators found evidence at the couple's West Covina home linking him to his wife's killing. He didn't say what the evidence was.
Charita Tolentino's body was found Sunday in her car, which had been parked in a lot outside the Hawaiian Gardens Casino.
The 57-year-old nurse's family said she vanished sometime after leaving work Friday.
Corina says investigators now believe Infante killed his wife at the couple's home, then abandoned her body in the casino parking lot.
Infante, 60, is jailed on $100,000 bail.
