The FOX 5 Storm Team says there may be some snow in the higher elevations overnight Thursday but black ice is the bigger concern in metro area.
DOT officials say Friday morning commuters should leave extra early and pack lots of patience for the drive into work.
"Drive very slowly and carefully and just be aware that there could be ice there. Another thing we would like for you to do is if you do encounter some ice, give us a call and let us know. Our folks can't be everywhere all the time," McKinnon said.
