Dr. Art Gray Discusses Reverend Giglio and The Presidential Inauguration

When President Obama is inaugurated next week, a different person will deliver the benediction.
That's because Reverend Louis Giglio has bowed out of the ceremony...this after controversy erupted over a sermon he gave in the mid 90's. He spoke out against the "aggressive agenda" of the gay community and said gay people could change their sexual orientation "through the healing power of Jesus."
"Due to a message of mine that has surfaced from 15 to 20 years ago, it is likely that my participation and the prayer I would offer, will be dwarfed by those seeking to make their agenda the focal point of the inauguration."
Giglio drew fire for those comments even though his own parish is known for welcoming openly gay members and will begin same sex marriage ceremony's this summer.
