FOX 11's food and fun expert Mar Yvette searches the Los Angeles area for some of the best places to eat, drink, shop and have a great time. Featured guests then swarm our FOX Television Center parking lot every Thursday morning between 9am and 10am on Good Day LA, creating a big party as one jam-packed segment known as the Weekend Roundup!

EarthWE Celebration
It's easy being green ... and it's fun, too. This Saturday, January 19 is your chance to join EarthWE's "A Green Term, Mr. President" event at the Vibiana in Downtown LA. Going on all day from 11am to midnight, the free celebration will be filled with music, food and fun for the whole family. Grammy Award-winning group Ozomatli perform at 7pm and the day will be packed with other performances including Love in the Circus, Earth Harp, yoga classes, and an installation called "Paint The World You Want" where 100 local artists will paint their vision of a greener planet. Actress Daryl Hannah dropped by to explain the benefits of this event.
The event is also the kick-off for EarthWE, an organization whose primary goal is to make good-cause and philanthropic involvement more rewarding and fun than it has ever been. To sign the petition visit: http://wh.gov/PUsB. The event is FREE and open to the public but you must RSVP at http://earthWE.com/events/
Hot New Pick: Corner Door
Looking for a cool bar where you can have ridiculously good food? I found just the spot. It's the Corner Door along the burgeoning Washington Boulevard in Culver City. Admittedly, the Corner Door sounds like just another gastropub, but this place rocks. Chef Luke Reyes does incredible things with the simplest ingredients. For instance, kale becomes a deconstructed Caesar salad served on a huge crostini.
Also not to miss: Strozzapreti (which means "strangled priest") handmade pasta, house-made Calabrian spicy-sweet sausage, and roasted chicken with zesty lemon yogurt sauce and cous cous. Topping it all off is bartender extraordinaire Beau du Bois, who is a mixology madman. If you can handle intense cocktails, make sure to order Grandma's Pack of Cigarettes. You won't be sorry. Happy hour goes on nightly from 5pm-7pm.
