Man to be sentenced in ex-girlfriend's murder - Los Angeles Local News, Weather, and Traffic

A valley man found guilty of murder and child abuse will learn his punishment Friday.

23-year-old Victor A. Martinez, Jr. is scheduled to be sentenced this afternoon.

He was convicted of the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend, 23-year-old Christina Hallman in her car in a parking lot near Priest and Guadalupe.  Authorities say the two had recently broken up.

Hallman's 2-year-old daughter was in the car and left alone overnight.
