South Side school put on lockdown when man tried to get in

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
An elementary school in the South Side Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood was put on lockdown briefly Friday morning when an unauthorized person tried to get in.
The incident happened about 8:30 a.m. at the Alexander Dumas Elementary School at 6650 S. Ellis Ave.
An unauthorized person tried to get into the school, so school officials blocked his entry and he fled from the area, a Chicago Public Schools spokesman said. Police did not immediately have additional details.
