Maria Quiban's Weather Forecast

Hello and Happy Back to Work & Back to School Tuesday!

The marine layer is a little deeper outside this morning and it's bringing us a little bit of a cool-down from the hot temps we had over the holiday weekend.

The clouds will burn off by the afternoon giving way to sunny skies and cooler than average temperatures. Nice!

Downtown L.A. should reach 83 degrees (below the avg 85). 74 along our beaches, low 90s in the valleys, Triple digits into the desert, Upper 70s in the mountains with some afternoon breezes.

The cool down continues into tomorrow and Thursday with highs only in the upper 70s near Downtown L.A. Surf will be up a little bit from the Southwest as well so beware of strong rip currents. High pressure will reassert itself over us just in time for the weekend bringing warmer temperatures and less marine layer.

We'd like to see your pictures! Just use the hashtag #ItsAGoodDayLA on Twitter, Facebook or Google+, and we'll share them later on Good Day L.A.
