It is migration time! Gray whales, some as long as 50' and weighing up to 40 tons, are making their way south from the Bering Sea towards Baja.
This is where they enjoy 2-3 months in the warmer water where most of their mating and calving occur. The whales then make the return trip north. In total, they migrate up to 14,000 miles, the longest of any mammal.
