Cobb citizens sound off on proposed immigration code change

COBB COUNTY, Ga. -

The Cobb County Commission heard from citizens on the controversial topic of illegal immigration on Tuesday.

A code change would require all contractors doing business  with the county to apply for federal IMAGE certification.

The IMAGE program uses an ICE audit of past hiring records to expose fake IDs illegal immigrants used to get hired.

The commission has not yet voted on the proposed ordinance.
