of West Bloomfield is sponsoring a Chicken Soup Cookoff on Sunday, January 27th. 20 different kinds of Chicken Soup will be featured in professional and amateur categories. 

The cookoff is happening from 12:00p.m. until 1:30p.m. at The Corners, located at 2075 Walnut Lake Road in West Bloomfield.

Admission is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children ages 5-12. Children 4 and under free and an entire family can get in for $15. Proceeds from the cookoff benefit several local charities.

SERVES 4

1 whole chicken (fryer)

2 jumbo carrots

1 whole yellow onion

2 stalks celery

salt & white pepper to taste

cook 1-1/2 hours

pull chicken apart

cook noodles separate

dice carrots

add together at serving
