MARIETTA, Ga. -
Troopers say the man that fled from police prompting a 3-county chase before crashing in Cobb County may have been under the influence of alcohol.
A spokesperson for the Georgia State Patrol tells FOX 5 News that Winston Keith Wiggins, 45, of Woodstock was arrested for DUI, fleeing to elude, obstruction of an officer and several traffic charges.
Troopers say Wiggins failed to stop his Nissan Titan at a checkpoint near Old Alabama and Bates Road near Emerson. Troopers pursued his pickup truck southbound onto Interstate 75.
The chase ended just north of the Canton Road exit in Marietta when the pickup crashed.
