Surfer Garrett McNamara already holds the Guinness World Record for riding a 78-foot wave off the coast of Nazare, Portugal.
But from the looks of this astounding photo, he has raised the bar once again. The actual height of the wave has not been measured exactly, but some say it's about 100 feet, and at the very least higher than the world record.
Video cameras captured McNamara being towed into a set of enormous waves that all looked to be around 100 feet high.
The surfers daring feat is thought to have set the new world record for tallest wave surfed. If that proves to be the true, McNamara will have broken the previously existing record, set by him, of 78 feet, which he did at the same location in November 2011.
Guinness World Records officials will begin their verification process of the wave shortly.
