Lohan's Attorney: I Want 'Calm To All The Drama'

Posted: Updated:
Los Angeles, CA -

Lindsay Lohan's new attorney Mark Heller said Wednesday that he wanted to "bring calm to all the drama" surrounding the actress -- and there has been plenty of that.

Lohan was in-and-out of a Los Angeles courtroom within an hour. The judge said Lohan had to be there because she was changing attorneys. She fired her old one, Shawn Holley, replacing her with Heller.

It was determined in court that her trial will begin in March on allegations she lied to a police officer investigating her car wreck last summer.

TMZ reported that she never intended to be here and that she got a doctor's excuse saying that she had an upper respiratory problem. On the same day, TMZ showed pictures of a seemingly healthy Lohan in New York City shopping and having a cigarette. TMZ said she only decided to take the flight from New York because she feared that with the release of those photos a warrant would be issued for her arrest if she didn't appear in court.

Lohan's doctor said she could make the trip if she felt better -- and she did, Heller said. Another member of Lohan's legal team told me the TMZ pictures had nothing to do with it. TMZ, thoough, isn't changing it's story.
