Matt Atchity Of Rotten Tomatoes Talks Movies

Posted: Updated:

Matt Atchity was here...is the editor in chief for the pop-culture website "Rotten Tomatoes"...and he is talking up the latest movie reviews.

Matt Atchity says if you're looking for a good movie this weekend, the critics are in love with the zombie rom-com "Warm Bodies". The genre mashing movie is getting strong reviews for taking a chance on a new type of romantinc comedy: one involving the walking dead.

Matt also told Steve and Maria how critics are responding to Sylvester Stallone's latest action flick "Bullet to The Head". It's directed by Walter Hill, the man behind action classics like "48 Hrs" and "The Warriors".

Matt says just because a movie stars a lot of Academy Award winners, it doesn't make it a good movie....and points to "Stand Up Guys", the new comedy starring Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin as an example. Studios tend to not release big movies on Super Bowl weekend, because many people are watching the game on Sunday.

Matt Atchity also hosts a new show on Sirius XM called ‘Rotten Tomatoes Radio.'

The weekly one hour call in show airs Thursdays at 3:00pm.
