NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

For their birthday party, most kids receive a lot of toys as gifts from their friends and family, but one Long Island boy has something else in store.

What do you do with your birthday presents? Well Fox 5 met one 9-year-old boy who's donating his to help Long Island kids affected by Superstorm Sandy.

Tyler Fazzari proudly rocks a #27 Ray Rice jersey while he plays with his friends at his birthday party.

The owner of Unlimited Sports in Port Washington donated the venue after hearing that Tyler, who turned nine on Sunday, is giving all the gifts coming his way to kids in Long Beach who are still trying to recover from the storm.

Tyler took a break from playing to tell us why.

"I feel really bad that their school and their houses got destroyed and I felt I just wanted to help them." said Tyler.

The aspiring running back's generosity inspired the owner of a local tech company to make a five-figure contribution.

"When we heard that Tyler was going to do that, he we felt we had to help him support the schools in Long Beach," said Damian Scarfo, CEO of TEQ.

His parents couldn't be more proud.

"He's amazing. He was born this way. His heart is so big," said his Erica Fazzari, Tyler's proud mother.

"I'm so proud of him. For a small idea to turn into something bigger and bigger," said Brad Fazzari, his dad.

And Tyler has a message for the kids of Long Beach.

"I feel bad for you and I'm going to try to help you as much as I can so help will be there," said Tyler.

If you want to follow Tyler's example and help the kids of Long Beach, you can send your donation to:
