A dog was rescued from the waters of Lake Michigan on Monday in the North Side Uptown neighborhood.
The dog was reported in the water near 5133 N. Simonds Dr. about 2:45 p.m., Fire Media Affairs reported. The animal was safely taken from the water about 3 p.m.
The dog's owner was on the scene, according to Fire Media, but no further details were immediately available.
