George Zimmerman, the self-appointed neighborhood watch captain, will stand trial as scheduled in June.
A Florida Judge denies the motion to delay, as Zimmerman's attorney blames the prosecution for dragging its' feet and slowly turning over evidence needed to prepare a defense. Zimmerman charged with the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, the Central Florida teenager last year. Zimmerman claims it was self-defense, Martin's family thinks it was racial profiling.
George Zimmerman's trial set for June 10th. Before that, Zimmerman will face another hearing in April. That deals with the "Stand your Ground" Law, a highly controversial self-defense law in Florida..
That will essentially be a mini trial with witnesses and a Judge deciding instead of a jury. If Zimmerman loses that hearing, he will then face charges that June trial for the murder of Martin.
A shooting that has ignited nation-wide attention and emotion, as the Judges' ruling comes on what would have been Martin's 18th birthday.
