FORT MOHAVE, Ariz. -

Deputies say a woman assaulted a deputy while she was being booked on Wednesday morning.

44-year-old Deana Lee Harris was arrested after she was caught trespassing at a home where a woman has an order of protection against her. 49-year-old Robert Emil Smith was also arrested because he allegedly brought Harris onto the property, which he shares with his brother.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home in the 4900 block of South Calle Del Media because a man said a woman his mother has an order of protection against had been at the home for three days.

Harris told deputies Smith had picked her up and drove her to the house. She was arrested and brought into jail.

During the booking process, deputies say Harris became uncooperative. They restrained Harris in leg shackles, but she was able to strike a deputy in the leg.

Harris was booked on charges of aggravated assault on law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, trespassing and interfering with judicial proceedings.

Deputies say Smith told them he knew about his mother's order of protection against Harris.

Smith was taken into custody and charged with facilitation.
