Los Angeles, CA -
A cold upper-level moved into southern California today producing showers, hail, gusty winds and snow down to low levels. We need the rain! In Downtown L.A., our season to date rainfall total (since July 1st) is only 4.40". The average season to date total is 8.30" so we have fallen almost 4" behind. Unfortunately, this storm won't produce all that much rain, mostly under 1/3".
From SkyFox we captured a nice band of rain moving ashore in Santa Monica this morning. This was the same line that produced some small hail along the coast of L.A. County Check out this awesome video.
