Mark Goulston is a psychiatrist, business consultant and coach, and best selling author. He has a theory about suspected killer Chris Dorner...
He believes Dorner had PTS an was driven to acts of desperation, as are many returning Vets, and when no relief is in sight they often turn violent towards others or themselves.
Mark's view of PTS is that it is about Re-Traumatization Avoidance an I would like to rename the disorder RTA which I believe to be more accurate. Mark also has a book on PTSD called PTSD for Dummies.
Mark says he thinks his manifesto showed a man morphing from a state of unrelenting agony which initially triggered revenge in the beginning of the manifesto to a suicide note at the end where he was essentially saying goodbye to all the people who influenced him both positively an negatively.
