ATLANTA -

Atlanta police are advising people to stay away from downtown this weekend if possible. Several big events are expected to clog roads.

As many as 190,000 people are expected to attended events such as Monster Jam, the Cheersport Nationals, the Bronner Brothers International Hair Show and the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus.

Travel on the Downtown Connector is expected to be slow and parking to be limited.

APD is urging visitors to carpool, take MARTA or just enjoy a nice weekend at home.
