High-Speed Rail: What You Think

Posted: Updated:

CalTrans is holding open houses throughout the state to get public input on California's $68 billion dollar High-Speed Rail Project.

Our "Saving the California Dream" investigative producer Heidi Cuda took a trip to Union Station to conduct our own unscientific survey of what train riders think about the bullet train project. Each train enthusiast had strong opinions—some in favor, some not so much. But the overriding opinion was we need more rail lines here in L.A, not a bullet train in the Central Valley, where the first 30 miles of high-speed rail is supposed to be built.  If you want to give your input, the next CalTrans open house is here in L.A. on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
