Texas Governor Rick Perry just left California after a
business recruiting trip and now Iowa Governor Terry Branstad is on his way.
Investigative producer Heidi Cuda reports Branstad called
California a "happy hunting ground," and plans to meet with California business
leaders tomorrow and Wednesday to lure them to his state.
Riley Ray-Robbins, a spokesman for Governor Brown, says it's
snowing this week in Iowa and he doesn't blame Branstad for trying to enjoy
some California sunshine.
Robbins also points out that California's
100-billion-dollar-a-year tourism industry is number one in the country, and
the Golden State created more private sector jobs than any other state in the
past 12 months.
Branstad says, he's trying to create 200 thousand jobs for
Iowa and that's why he's coming to California.
