Westchester tackles goose problem

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Geese and their droppings are a problem in many golf courses and parks in Westchester County.

County officials and animal rights groups are tacking the issue together after the county killed 500 geese and sold the meat to homeless shelters.

In an effort to eliminate the animals in a humane way, officials say they're considering various options proposed including using a device called The Goosinator which drives the birds away.

Additional meetings between both groups are planned.
