New movie releases on Oscar weekend usually put the "weak" in weekend. How weak? According to Matt Atchity from Rotten Tomatoes, only one of the new movies was shown to critics. Matt told Steve and Maria that critics didn't love the new action flick "Snitch" starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson but they didn't hate it either. He also talks about why he thinks "Dark Skies" was kept from movie critics.
Matt also talked about his pick for taking home the Oscar for Best Picture. He also told us that if Anne Hathaway loses Best Supporting Actress, it could set the stage for one movie to pull off an upset that could be one of "Shakespeare in Love" sized proportions.
Matt Atchity also hosts a new show on Sirius XM called ‘Rotten Tomatoes Radio.'
The weekly one hour call in show airs Thursdays at 3:00pm.
