Woman injured in hit-and-run showing improvement - Los Angeles Local News, Weather, and Traffic

A former Kennesaw State University student seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident has made some improvement.

On a Facebook page tracking her condition, Emily Bowman's friends said that she underwent surgery on Monday.

A suspected drunk driver jumped a curb on Oak Street in Athens, hit the 19-year-old and then took off.

Police found the abandoned truck and have identified a 22-year-old suspect from Cartersville.
