The Mean Streets of LA: Hit and Run Drivers

Posted: Updated:

The mean streets of LA seem even meaner when you factor in those hit and run drivers. It happened again this morning but luckily the couple that was hit in Hollywood survived. Thomas Price wasn't so lucky. Gigi Graciette visits the scene of a December crime where two people did the unforgiveable and left Price to die.

Life can seem so cruel in it's irony....take the life and death of Thomas Price.

The 22 year old was going to college to be a firefighter because, he had written, he wanted to help others.

But when he needed help the most, there was no one there.

Price was run over while crossing Reseda Boulevard on December 2nd, 2012. Not once but twice.

Unbelievably say police, he survived both hits but since neither driver stopped to help him, precious time was lost in getting him to a hospital and he died.

What are the chances that not one but two drivers with no heart nor conscience nor common sense of decency would hit one man? One 22 year old who by all accounts was the antithesis to the drivers who left him to die?

Hit and run times two.

While I doubt either driver will have the "fill in the blank" to turn themselves in, maybe someone who knows something will give Thomas' grieving mother a little closure; a sense of justice.

There's a $50,000 reward in it, just in case doing the right thing isn't enough of a reward.

Call LAPD Valley Traffic Detective Russell at 818-644-8028 if you have any information.
