Cab crashes into store, strikes pedestrian in Midtown

Police say a livery cab jumped a curb and slammed into a building, hitting a pedestrian in Midtown Saturday night. 

The FDNY says the white livery cab that lost control on 51st Street and 8th Avenue around 6:15 p.m. when it jumped a curb, hit a male pedestrian and smashed into floral display in fron of a deli. 

The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver was taken to Roosevelt Hospital with minor injuries.

The incident is still under investigation.
