No one has yet to declare the cause of a house fire in a remote section of Calabasas a drug lab, but five hours after the fire was knocked down, the California Dept of Justice Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement showed up on scene.
A source within the LA County Sheriff's Department tells FOX 11 news, three men were involved in drug extraction.
There was an aroma of marijuana at the house which might suggest they were using a highly flammable substance like hexane or butane to cook the resin out of the pot. That's how to make honey oil, a substance similar to hash oil.
An explosion burned the three men in their 20's. Over their arms, face and torso. Two men were airlifted to Los Robles community hospital, the third is at UCLA.
