Michael Bolton: It's Important to Embrace Those Classics

Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Michael Bolton talked about his latest CD and book with Steve and Maria Tuesday morning on Good Day LA. "Ain't No Mountain High Enough: A Tribute to Hitsville, U.S.A." features the singer covering all the classics...from the title track to "Nowhere to Run" to "Tracks of my Tears".
The singer talked about the challenges of tackling classic songs while trying to maintain the spirit of the original. He also had some exciting news for fans. Bolton's also written a new book that covers his life and career, from his teenage days playing with a band to writing songs for other singers to eventually taking the stage himself. "The Soul of it All: My Music, My Life" is out now.
Michael will also be on tour this summer… He'll perform with the San Diego Symphony at Embarcadero Marina Park South in San Diego august 9th and 10th. He'll also play the Grove In Anaheim on August 15th.
