Thomas and Armando Take It To The Ice!

Thomas (1997) and Armando (1999) are a pair of sports-minded brothers who enjoy outdoor activities, including street hockey.  But when it came to taking in from the streets into a rink, it turns out that both boys had seen ice hockey on television but had never attended a hockey match.  So it was off to the Staples Center where we first met up hockey veteran and Los Angeles Kings announcer Daryl Evans for a pre-match inside-look at a typical work-day for a hockey player.

Thomas and Armando are easy-going and adventurous youth who did not hesitate putting on skates, hitting the ice and even learning how to fall.  As we watched Thomas and Armando take in the lessons on how to maneuver on the ice, we recognized the parallel to lessons in maneuvering through life – how to stand, move forward, stop … and yes, how to minimize the "hurt" and then get back when you stumble and fall.

Both Thomas and Armando gravitate towards taking the lead on things, which at times heightens the normal sibling rivalry between them.  The one thing they both want to gain together, though, is a permanent family whose members can help them maneuver forward through life.
