17-year old Raven Furlong's been missing since February 5th. She drove away from her Aurora, Colorado home and her family only heard from her once the next day.
After weeks of waiting and worrying, Raven's mom got a parking ticket from Venice. She and her husband flew immediately to L.A. where LAPD helped find the car.
In the search for her, the family discovered Raven had a profile on the El Segundo based website, ModelMayhem.com. The site is designed to match up aspiring models with photographers, but coincidentally and frighteningly, three missing women, including Raven all had profiles on the site. Is there a connection? Raven's mom, Tonja Mahaffey can't say for sure, but she's since enlisted the help of the National Coalition of Women against Violence and Exploitation. That group warns that young teens can be lured into ‘modeling' only to find themselves forced into prostitution.
Raven's family is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to her whereabouts. Contact tips@nwcave.org or call Aurora Police Department (303) 739-6000 or 1-800-THE-LOST
