The FBI in Atlanta is asking for the public's assistance in finding a man who is wanted in connection with a series of Colorado bank robberies. They say the suspect, dubbed the Clearinghouse Bandit by Colorado authorities, may be in the Atlanta area.
Stephen Emmett with the FBI in Atlanta says several agencies in Colorado believe the man may be responsible for 13 bank robberies from August 2012 to December 2012 in Denver, Aurora and Colorado Springs.
According to authorities, the suspect enters the bank, presents a note, and then flees. They say he was given the nickname because he usually has a magazine with him.
Authorities say the suspect is a black man with a heavy build, and is between 25 and 40 years old. His height is between 6' and 6'5" and he weighs around 220 to 260 pounds.
If anyone has any information on the suspect, call the FBI Atlanta office at 404-679-9000.
