Happy Sunday! It was a HOT one! Lots of 80's today and even record breaking heat in some areas… LAX got up to 85, 86 in Santa Ana… Long Beach at 87 and Newport Beach at 79 tied their old records. And more heat is on tap as we head into next week.
Monday and Tuesday our temps drop a bit, but we'll still be well above our normals… by Wednesday we get another warm up… and the heat will continue into the weekend, when we'll be near 80 by the coast, mid 80's inland and near 90 in the valleys and Inland Empire!
We're also expecting a strong Santa Ana wind event Tuesday through early Thursday, with the peak of the winds Tuesday night into Wednesday. The offshore winds, combined with the low relative humidity levels we're expecting… along with the heat… will create an increased fire danger.
Monday temps: 79 inland, 75 by the coast, 82 in the valleys, 56 in the mountains, 76 in the high desert and 83 in the low desert.
Have a good week!
