'BioShock Infinite' wows gamers

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

"BioShock Infinite" is a wild ride of a game with a script like a Hollywood movie. The New York Times reports it has a production and marketing budget of close to $200 million, though the developer denies it's that much.

It's clear this game isn't just one of the most exquisite looking of all time it's also one of the most expensive ever created.

About 200 people crafted the concepts, graphics and magic of this adventure, says writer Drew Holmes, who spoke with us earlier from the Irrational Games studios via Skype.

At the center of this unique story is the main character, a fellow named Booker Dewitt tasked with going back in time to the mythical city of Columbia in 1912.

Though the game is new, his mission is ages old: rescue the damsel in distress.

Mashable.com tech writer Christina Warren says the game also touches on adult themes, like American exceptionalism -- the concept that the U.S. has a mission to spread liberty and democracy.

The game has with adult violence to go along with those adult themes, and a mature rating.

It's a long way from the gamer beginnings like Pac-Man and Mario Brothers.

Warren says the best games always have the best story. This game's story could be worth a lot of money. Developers hope their profits will reach the billions.

Just when you thought you have heard of everything we turn our attention to Hollywood for the latest in concierge medicine. Celebrity daughter and TV host Kelly Osborne recently showed off getting an IV drip. But she wasn't at a hospital. She was at home. She is one of many celebrities using expendable income on intravenous drips filled with things like saline, potassium, anti-inflammatory or anti-nausea meds, or vitamin B12 to help them recover from a hangover or exhaustion.
