SUWANEE, Ga. (AP) - The closure of a warehousing and distribution management plant in metro Atlanta is expected to leave about 130 people without jobs.
Menlo Worldwide Logistics, a supply chain management company, is closing a warehouse in Suwanee. The plant employs 150 people and the company plans to transfer 20 employees from the facility about 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta to a plant in Chatsworth, east of Dalton in northwest Georgia.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://bit.ly/Xc8l5q ) reports layoffs will begin in June and the facility is expected to close in December.
