Twitter was abuzz early Tuesday morning because of a Lindsay Lohan pregnancy tweet but it turned out to be a late April Fools' joke.
The actress confirmed Tuesday morning that a cryptic late-night Twitter posting hours earlier that stated she was pregnant was an April Fools' Day prank.
Lindsay Lohan tweeted "Its official. Pregnant...". Many people had assumed that it was Lohan's attempt at an April Fools' Day joke, but Fox 5 News in New York pointed out that Lohan actually posted the tweet early on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
The message was retweeted more than 12,500 times in a few hours before Lohan deleted it.
Later in the morning she wrote that she was having some fun saying: "Where's everyone's sense of humor?"
Lohan, 26, is facing 90 days in rehab as part of a plea deal in a misdemeanor car crash case in California.
She is set to appear as a guest star on Charlie Sheen's FX sitcom "Anger Management" next week.
