Ok, geek with me for a second…

The Marvel Phase One movies that lead up to the Avengers film were awe-tastic!! I really and truly loved each one of them and the Avengers movie was so good it actually gave me a reason to want to see another Hulk movie. Equally awesome is the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled Blu-ray box set which could be had at a cost of $199.99 and looked like Tony Stark's Iron Man suit case, complete with light up light-up Tesseract cube in the middle.

The cool kids over at have posted a video (the one embedded above) which includes some footage from the upcoming Iron Man 3 film, while the folks over at have also posted some set photos and concept art from the incredible case of collector's awesomeness that is the subject of this post. What you'll see in the still images are character that may, or may not, be in the forthcoming Marvel Phase Two films: Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man. Of course I'm excited to see all of them, but I'm really anticipating the Guardians flick and seeing how they bring those characters to life on the big screen without it coming off a little cheesy. I'm sure the folks behind the first wave of films I loved will do a fine job, but it must be a challenge to take the brightly colored, costumed raccoon and friends off the pages of the comic books and translate that to something that reads well on-screen. Time will tell, but until then, enjoy the video above and make the jump over to IGN for the pics.

Oh, and on a personal note: While I'm elated to see those renders of the Falcon, can a brotha get Luke Cage or Blackcat though? A T'Challa of Wakanda or Powerman and Iron Fist movie would be EPIC!!1!!1
