Let It Rip: Ordinary citizens playing detective

Posted: Updated:
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Some ordinary citizens have been playing the role of detective this week trying to catch the suspected bad guys, including a local father.

"Once he came and walked in the house, I grabbed him, I grabbed him and held him for the police," said Antoine Martin.

He said he busted the guy that was trying to hook up with his underage daughter and even videotaped a confession.

While some applaud this father's actions, others say you should always leave the police work to the police.

Joining Huel Perkins and Charlie Langton on our panel to discuss are Martin, as well as Judge Jodi Debbrecht, who sits on the bench in Waterford, and Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard.
